Barrett House is a state-of-the-art emergency shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness and looking to better their lives. Women and children are provided a place where they receive a comfortable bed, three meals a day and supportive services. They also receive resource referrals, and guidance on job skills training programs, educational opportunities, benefits programs and housing programs.
Barrett Foundation’s housing efforts begin with the Barrett House Shelter. Within three days of entering the shelter, each resident works with the Housing Stability Advocate to formulate a housing plan to find an affordable home, live independently and become contributing members of our community.
