Barrett Foundation Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers at Barrett Foundation are held to the same high standards as our employees. Their functions are virtually the same, with the primary difference being that the only compensation that the volunteer receives is the grateful appreciation of Barrett’s board, staff and clients.
While working at Barrett Foundation, volunteers will come in contact with people from all walks of life. It is the Barrett Foundation’s mission to welcome all women and children as clients without discrimination.
In all contacts with clients, donors, visitors, and customers at the Attic:
- Barrett Foundation volunteers will treat each person with courtesy, respect and dignity.
- Volunteers are expected to behave appropriately at all times.
- Volunteers must maintain client privacy and confidentiality.
- A full background check will be conducted on all volunteers.
- Volunteers are expected to uphold Barrett Foundation’s ethical standards.
- Volunteers are urged to check for availability of matching funds to Barrett Foundation from their employer.
Barrett Foundation is a member of the Mayor's Office of Volunteerism & Engagement (M.O.V.E.)
